2011 is kicking off with a bang here…

Interop today announced that Vyatta was selected for their build-out of “the ultimate networking challenge of powering the InteropNet, Interop’s specialized cutting edge temporary network.”

We love on-demand performances… and this one is a big honor.  But enough about us.

What’s truly great about Vyatta in the Interop network is that it demonstrates, in a real-world operational network,  both new technologies and vendor interoperability at the same time.  The stated intent of the Interop network is to be a highly visible showcase intended to quicken the adoption of emerging technologies.  As the Interop General Manager said, “At a time of tremendous change across the industry, this year’s InteropNet participants play a key role in highlighting innovation and giving Interop attendees the confidence to incorporate the latest solutions into their own networks.”

A few of the key attributes of this network design:

  • Hand-selected, innovative vendors
  • Wide-scale deployment
  • Best practice methodologies
  • Interactive lab environment
  • Meets current and future business needs

Vyatta keeps marching into the mainstream of the networking industry.  We look forward to showing thousands of people in one concentrated space and time just how reliable and powerful software-based networking is.
